PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposit, a process by which a durable finish or coating is applied. The black color, a carbon and titanium composite, is placed into a pressurized chamber with the stainless steel watch parts. The composite is forced into the surface of the steel, coloring the case and bracelet black.
