An office that provides meteorological service for international air navigation in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization specifications. Its functions are to 1) prepare forecasts under the guidance of a main meteorological office; 2) supply meteorological information and briefings to aeronautical personnel; 3) supply meteorological information required by an associated supplementary meteorological office.
